Reviews
This is a small quaint Chinese restaurant. The food is very good and I have always had very good service. This restaurant has been in business at the same location for a very long time. They offer dine in and take out. The egg drop soup is my favorite starter. The lunch specials are a great value. Note: when they are busy you may have a wait for a table and there is very little room to wait inside. So keep that in mind when it is very hot or cold outside. The parking is somewhat difficult. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant. With all that said this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Raleigh. This is a must try if you are visiting or live in the area.
Loved their Singapore noodles and Szechwan shrimp along with hot and sour soup.
Thought I'd try Red Dragon again. I'd waited many years due to the poor food quality last time. The service was quick. There were only 2 tables in use at 6pm on Saturday night. I'm not new to the area or neighborhood. It's a bummer that this neighborhood restaurant seems to have no pride in the quality of their cooking. We ordered 3 dishes and 3 apps. None of it had any flavor. Unfortunately, it was all mediocre and bland. David's Dumplings and Peach China are much better.
William and every single person at this place were top notch service oriented, the food, the ambiance and the cleanliness makes a visit worth every time. The Happy family and the House lo mein are 2 of my favorites.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE? As a Raleigh native, this was a staple growing up. It is terrible now, the meat looks fake and would lead one to believe the mystery meat tale. I’m so disappointed.
Stopped by here for lunch. Ordered moo goo gai pan (chicken with mushroom and vegetables) and it comes with fried rice and soup (wonton soup). The food was delicious, especially liked the soup broth. Decent price and portion. There are parking spaces in the back of the building available for customers
If you are looking for a healthier, not fast food version of Chinese food, this is the place to go. Very good. The ingredients they cook with are more authentic, clean. They have Oolong, delicious. I decided to try their seafood sizzling platter, very good with equal amounts of each food. There wasn't too much or too less of anything. The white sauce is very light and good, it doesn't overwhelm the food and take away flavors but compliments it. The soy sauce they serve is not in a bottle. They make a ginger soy sauce that is delicious, I honestly poured it all over my seafood platter and it was perfect. Their Lo Mein, is a definite! I can't wait to go get more. My hubby can never eat the Chinese buffets/menu on the wall places without him getting sick due to the cheap oils they use. He ate here, and never got sick. Time and care is put into the food. Very small quaint restaurant, easy to miss. They have back parking and another adjacent lot. Definitely going back, looking forward to trying more dishes.
How disappointing to see the Red dragon turned into an over priced, bad Chinese take out.
The General's chicken had no spices, and chicken fried rice was disgusting. All you could taste was used grease and was thrown in the trash. Crab raggon was ok-ish. $40 in the trash and will definitely never go back.
